Information you provide directly
When you create an account or use PutOn, you may provide us with:
- Your name, email address, and username
- Profile photo and bio
- Outfit posts, images, and descriptions you choose to share
- For brand accounts: brand name, contact name, Instagram handle, website, and business description
- Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback)
Information collected automatically
When you use our app, we may automatically collect:
- Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
- Log data (IP address, app activity, crash reports)
- Usage data (features you use, content you view, interactions within the app)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the PutOn app and services
- Create and manage your account
- Display your content to other users according to your privacy settings
- Process payments for brand subscriptions (via Stripe)
- Send you service-related communications (account updates, security notices)
- Respond to your support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal data for advertising purposes, and we do not allow third-party advertisers to target you through PutOn.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
With other users
Content you post publicly (outfits, profile information) is visible to other PutOn users according to your privacy settings. Your username and profile are public by default. You can make your account private in Settings.
Service providers
We use trusted third-party services to help operate PutOn:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Stripe — payment processing for brand subscriptions
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Legal requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PutOn, our users, or the public.
4. Payment Information
PutOn uses Stripe to process all payments for brand subscriptions. When you enter your payment details, that information is transmitted directly and securely to Stripe — we never store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details on our servers.
Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and their privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data. You can review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
We store only a Stripe customer ID and your subscription status to manage your account.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- Encrypted storage for sensitive fields
- Row-level security policies on our database
- Regular security reviews
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@putonapp.com.
Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data (most data can be updated directly in the app)
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to processing of your data in certain circumstances

7. Children's Privacy
PutOn is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of PutOn after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
